The Alpha Course

The Alpha Course is a relaxed and informal introduction to Christianity and is designed for anyone who wants to understand the basics of the Christian faith. Whether you're a new believer who wants to understand more about Christ or someone who just has questions that still need to be answered, the Alpha Course is a great way to understand more about your options and how they relate to the meaning of life.

What to expect at an Alpha Course evening

The course is organised as a series of evening studies over a period of ten weeks but the structure and timing can be altered to fit the needs of the participants.

A typical evening starts with a bit of time to chat and enjoy a cuppa, which helps everyone get to know each other a bit better before the study begins. The rest of the evening is a talk (usually a short video clip) followed by group discussion. The tone of the evening is very open and expression of different views is encouraged and respected as each person considers their individual responses to the questions that are presented.

The course is free and anyone who attends will be issued with a course handbook and manual, which contains an outline of each talk and space for taking notes.
